Putting Feet to Our Faith

"If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and you say, “Good-bye and have a good day; stay warm and eat well” - but then you don’t give that person any food or clothing. What good does that do?" (James 2:15-16).

----------------------------------------------------

What good is it to tell a person behind bars to get healed and become a better citizen and not provide the resources to help them transform?

What good is it to tell a teenager they need to leave the gangs alone, stay away from drugs, and get in touch with their identity and not provide the mentoring, guidance, and resources they need?

What good is it to tell a drug addict that getting high and numbing themselves is not the answer without helping them get to the source of the pain that causes them to self-medicate?

Sure, we can pray for people, but we are called to help meet the practical needs of those we encounter. Have you ever tried preaching to a hungry person? You will better have their attention when their stomach isn't growling.

We realize that we cannot meet the needs of every person we encounter by ourselves, but we always pray for God to connect us with the resources and people who can. When we come together and combine our resources, connections, strength, skills, and prayers - there is no need we cannot address.

We pray that you will consider partnering with us in one or several ways:

  • Prayer Partners

  • Combining our resources

  • Inviting us to educate and empower at your event, church, youth group, small group, etc.

  • Purchasing and/or distributing our books

  • Volunteering for events we host or support

  • Sowing a financial seed

Please reach out to us and let us know how we can support what you are doing to make a positive impact in the lives of others.
